Undulating Twill
Piece 2024-27, woven by hand in Twickenham
Sold
I do not weave the same piece twice, but I will happily weave something similar.
In a plain twill the diagonal runs straight. In an undulating twill the treadling speeds up and slows down, so the line curves instead, and the cloth reads as waves rather than stripes.
Woven in cotton and silk in a soft beige, 170cm long and 19cm wide.
Sold. Ask me if you would like something woven on the same principle.
