Returns and refunds

Every piece is made by hand, and I want you to be happy with it. Here is where you stand.

Changing your mind

You have 14 days from the day your parcel arrives to tell me you would like to cancel, and you do not have to give a reason. Once you have told me, you have a further 14 days to send the piece back.

Email annemarie@perennialweaver.com with the catalogue number of the piece. It needs to come back unused and in the condition it arrived in. You are welcome to unwrap it and look at it properly, in the way you would in a shop, but not to wear or use it.

Return postage is yours to pay unless the piece was faulty or the wrong one was sent.

Your refund

Once the piece is back and I have checked it over, I will refund you to the method you paid with, usually within 5 to 7 working days, and in any case within 14 days of the piece arriving back. The refund includes what you paid for standard delivery.

Pieces made to order

The 14 day right to change your mind does not apply to anything woven to your own specification: a commission, a piece made in colours you chose, or anything personalised. That is the law for made-to-order goods, and it is worth knowing before you commission something. Everything already woven and listed in the shop is covered as normal.

If something is faulty

This is separate from changing your mind, and your rights last far longer. If a piece is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, you can reject it within 30 days of receiving it for a full refund. After 30 days I can repair or replace it, and if that is not possible you are entitled to a refund.

Handwoven cloth is not machine perfect, and small variations in the weave are part of how it is made rather than a fault. A broken warp thread, a seam coming apart or damage in transit is a fault, and I will put it right.
