Pearl Pattern Scarf

A long scarf in merino, cotton and silk, woven by hand in Twickenham. At 275cm it is the longest piece I have made, with enough length to wrap twice and still hang.

The three fibres each do something different. Merino carries the warmth, cotton holds the structure so the cloth does not collapse, and silk gives it the slight sheen you notice when it moves.

This is the only one. I have never managed to weave the same piece twice, so when it goes it is gone, though I will weave something similar if you ask.
