Clasped Pattern Scarf
Piece 2023-18, woven by hand in Twickenham
Sold
I do not weave the same piece twice, but I will happily weave something similar.
Clasped weft is worked with two shuttles. I throw one, catch it around the other mid-row and pull it back, so the two colours lock together at a point I choose. Move that point row by row and the join wanders across the cloth.
Woven in plain and variegated hand dyed wool, 231cm long and 22cm wide.
This one has sold. I do not weave the same piece twice, but clasped weft is a technique I return to, so ask me and I will weave something close to it.
